What we collect
- Account info: email address, and (if you sign in with Google) your name and profile photo.
- Usage: obfuscation count, selected protection level, credit balance, and timestamps. We do not retain submitted source code or its output after the request completes.
- Payment info: handled by our payment processor. Otter never sees full card numbers.
- Technical: standard server logs (IP, user-agent, request path) for security and abuse prevention. Retained for up to 30 days.
How we use it
To run the Service, deliver obfuscation results, enforce credit balances, prevent abuse, send transactional emails, and comply with the law. We do not sell your data.
Source code handling
Source code you submit is sent to our obfuscation backend, transformed, and returned. It is processed in memory and not stored as a file. We do not train any model on your code.
Sharing
We share data only with vendors that help us operate Otter (auth, hosting, payments). They're bound by data-processing terms and can only use the data to provide their service to us.
Your rights
You can request access, correction, export, or deletion of your account data at any time by emailing privacy@otter.app. Deleting your account erases your credit balance and usage history.
Cookies
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies for authentication. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
