Terms of Service
Last updated: June 25, 2026
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using Otter ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
2. What Otter does
Otter is a hosted Luau / Lua source code obfuscation tool. You submit source code, pick a protection level, and receive a protected build. Otter does not write, host, or distribute your scripts.
3. Your account
You're responsible for the security of your login credentials and any activity that happens under your account. One person or entity per account. You must be at least 13 years old to use Otter.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Otter to:
- Obfuscate malware, exploits, account stealers, or code designed to harm users or systems.
- Bypass anti-cheat or licensing systems you don't own.
- Violate the terms of any platform your output runs on (including Roblox).
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or attack the Service or its infrastructure.
5. Credits & payments
Obfuscations are paid for using credits. Credit prices, package sizes, and per-level costs may change at any time. Credits are non-refundable except where required by law. Unused credits don't expire but may be voided if your account is terminated for cause.
6. Your content
You retain all rights to source code you submit. You grant Otter a limited license to process that code solely to provide the Service (obfuscate, return, and operate the platform). Otter does not claim ownership over your scripts or their output.
7. No warranty
Otter is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Obfuscation raises the cost of reverse engineering — it does not make code unbreakable. We make no guarantee that protected output is uncrackable, executor-safe on every runtime, or fit for any particular purpose.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Otter and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Total liability is capped at the amount you paid Otter in the 3 months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
You can stop using Otter at any time. We can suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if continuing service becomes impractical.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
